AsstrA Launches Air Freight Services via Odessa Airport

Kiev - Odessa, January 13, 2010 – International group of transport and logistics companies AsstrA launches air freight services via “Odessa International Airport" checkpoint.  

 The essence of the new service offered by AsstrA is delivering cargos via Odessa airport with regular passenger, freight and charter flights. The service will be of interest in terms of importing and exporting urgent, short-life and valuable cargos of companies from the southern and eastern regions of the Ukraine. AsstrA provides the service in a set with delivering the cargo to/from the airport, handling and customs clearance in the airport, air freight booking and cargo insurance.

“As a rule, air freight to/from the Ukraine is arranged via Borispol airport, yet this transportation method is not always the most reasonable one in terms of cost as well as speed.  That is why AsstrA has worked out and interesting alternative and offered it to the market. Many of our customers will positively evaluate the expedience and speed of cargo delivery via Odessa airport”, Vladimir Dubikov, Head of Consolidated Consignment Department of AsstrA Ukraine points out.   

Certificate No. 005922 of the Ministry of Transport of the Ukraine of September 18, 2009, confirms the right of AsstrA to sell air freight services and handle hazardous cargos on the territory of the Ukraine.

Odessa Airport

“Odessa International Airport" checkpoint has a Certificate of an Airfield with a Landing Strip of the 1st category of International Civil Aviation Organization. More than 20 domestic and foreign air companies carry out flights to the airport. The passenger traffic of Odessa airport has increased by 50% over the past two years.  “Odessa International Airport" checkpoint has been awarded the title of the "Leader of Ukrainian Economy".
